Question

Does user authentication with the Acrolinx server work via LDAP?

Answer

Both Atlassian Confluence and Acrolinx support external user directories – therefore, LDAP works fine for user authentication with Acrolinx Connector.

For Acrolinx, it doesn't matter if the user credentials are provided by an LDAP user directory or from Confluence's internal user directory. As long as the username is as configured on the Acrolinx server, users will be authenticated as expected.

The Acrolinx documentation has a guide on using an external directory service to authenticate users.
